Bank Van Breda opens its IT Department for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with particular job functions in this department. 

*What can PhDs in Computer Science or AI expect from Job Shadowing at Bank Van Breda? 

After a general introduction of the IT department, you can choose one or more of the teams as specified below to follow for a day.
- IT framework and Architecture
- IT security
- IT infrastructure
- IT online banking
- IT core banking development
- IT data

*What can PhDs without an IT background expect from Job Shadowing at Bank Van Breda? They get insight into what other PhDs without IT background do at the IT department and get a more in-depth understanding of the Bank Van Breda's IT traineeship.

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Computer Science or AI as well as PhD candidates/postdocs without an IT background, who are interested in an IT traineeship. Candidates are expected to be native speakers of Dutch. 

Bank Van Breda offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience. The dates suggested for Job Shadowing are 14, 15 or 16 October.
