Ghent University opens the position of Senior Research Policy Advisor for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

A Senior Research Policy Advisor on the one hand designs and implements measures to optimise the research culture at Ghent University (mainly focusing on research integrity and research assessment). On the other hand, the Senior Research Policy Advisor is part of the staff of the Director of Research (Vicerector of Research). Shadowees will have the opportunity to become familiar with both aspects of the job, which involves activities such as attending meetings, training sessions, meetings with colleagues, etc.

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs from all academic backgrounds. The candidate needs to be fluent in Dutch. 

Ghent University offers a 1- or 2-day Job Shadowing experience, depending on the availability of both the Policy Advisor and the shadowee. The date(s) will be determined through mutual agreement.
