Sciensano opens the position of ELSI Team Lead for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

The ELSI Team Lead is involved with the ethical, legal and societal implications research about data governance and health technologies within Sciensano, the scientific public health institute in Belgium. The Teal Lead heads a multidisciplinary team of 7 researchers who work on national and European research projects and policy support. They organize public consultations, perform legal and ethical analyses and set up qualitative research projects. They work on genomics, cancer research, vaccination, AI, federated data sharing, EHDS implementation, etc. Shadowing the Team Lead, you will meet the team members and get to experience what it is like to work at a governmental research institute with 1000 employees.

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Philosophy, Law or Social Sciences.  

Sciensano offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience. The dates suggested for Job Shadowing are 13, 15 or 16 October. Job Shadowing will take place in Victor Hortaplein 40, 1060 Brussel.
