The University of Antwerp open the position of Policy Advisor at its Antwerp Doctoral School for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function.
A Policy Advisor at the Antwerp Doctoral School is responsible for the development and implementation of everything related to PhD policy at the University of Antwerp (policy meetings, quality control of trainings offered as part of the doctoral study programme, regulations and guidelines about the PhD trajectory, preparation of onboarding information sessions for new PhD researchers, data analysis of institutional PhD data, interuniversity collaboration, collaboration in the YULE-alliance on the topic of Doctoral Learning, well-being of doctoral researchers, etc.
> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs from all academic backgrounds. A firm knowledge of Dutch is crucial to shadow this position since the vast majority of internal meetings are in Dutch.
The University of Antwerp offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience, preferably taking place on Tuesday 7 October (or Thursday 9 October).
