KU Leuven Libraries opens the position of Information Specialist Research for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function.
The Information Specialist Research at KU Leuven provides expert guidance and hands-on support to researchers. Information Specialists assist researchers throughout all stages of their projects, offering advice on research data management, scholarly publication and information retrieval. Information Specialists deliver personalized consultations, lead workshops and training sessions. Furthermore, Information Specialists are active members of relevant networks and working groups within KU Leuven Libraries, helping to foster collaboration and advance research support services.

KU Leuven offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience. The date for Job Shadowing will be decided upon in close consultation with the selected candidate. Job Shadowing will take place either in Monseigneur Ladeuzeplein 21 or Willem de Croylaan 6, both in Leuven.
