Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) opens the position of Medical Affairs Manager for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function.
Medical Affairs is the strategic partner within an organisation, working closely with country and hub teams. The Medical Affairs team communicates the medical and scientific voice of the company to the diagnostic community. Its long-term work involves generating new evidence for the company's products and solutions. This means identifying research gaps, collaborating with internal and external investigators to conduct studies and publishing and disseminating the results. The Medical Affairs team also monitors literature, ensuring that new evidence is clearly communicated to both associates and customers through various forums, such as educational webinars or scientific symposia, whether they're company events or international conferences.
> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Medicine, Nursing & Health, Biomedical Sciences. Preference is given to candidates who have a firm knowledge of Dutch or English.
