Amcor opens the position of Research Engineer (R&D) for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

A Research Engineer (R&D) at Amcor develops new recycling-ready packaging building blocks and final solutions, and is actively involved in internal and external recyclability testing of Amcor's new structures. A Research Engineer screens raw materials for use in the new structures; works out new formulations; enters pilot & analytical requests; follows up pilot trials and analytical assessment of materials made; tests final specifications developed for their recyclability and runnability on packaging lines; and reports and presents results to the broader R&D teams

> Open to PhD candidates/postdocs with a background in Chemistry, Bioscience Engineering, Civil Engineering. 

Amcor offers a 1- or
2-day Job Shadowing experience. The dates for Job Shadowing will be decided upon in close consultation with the selected candidate.
