Pfizer opens the position of Team Leader / Project Engineer Micro Operations for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

The Team Leader / Project Engineer Micro Operations  is responsible for achieving the objectives of the Micro Lab department and leading the Micro Lab Project Launch Excellence team. This team is responsible for method verifications of new products and the necessary project work to ensure a smooth transition into operations. As Team Leader you organize and plan validations and various projects carried out by the team to ensure an efficient and effective launch of new production activities; you are responsible for the daily follow-up on the projects within the team: providing guidance and making decisions in the event of unforeseen circumstances, both in terms of content and organization; you lead a team of engineers; you monitor and report on your team’s objectives; and you train, coach and develop the team members (including giving feedback and conducting performance evaluations)

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Pharmacy, Drug Development, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Industrial Pharmacy, Chemistry, Bioscience Engineering, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Biomedical Sciences, Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Engineering Sciences. Preference is given to candidates with a firm knowledge of Dutch.
