BioLizard opens the position of AI & Analytics Scientist for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function.

At BioLizard, an AI & Analytics Scientist typically has a combined background of biological, computer and data science, and works as a scientific consultant for specific projects for customers in Biotech and Pharma (small to big).

During the job shadowing day, the participant will learn which consultancy and internal research tasks an AI & analytics scientist performs, how the scientist engages with various departments within the organization (e.g., sales, project management), and how the role fits within the company structure, including key duties and responsibilities. This experience will help the participant assess whether a scientific role in an industrial setting could be a good fit.

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in AI & Analytics. PhD candidates and postdocs should have a good theoretical knowledge of the basics of molecular biology, data science, and a proficient knowledge of English.

BioLizard offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience. The dates suggested for Job Shadowing are 7 and 14 October. The exact date will be decided upon in close consultation with the selected candidate.
