VDAB opens the position of Labour Market Analyst for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function.
VDAB provides general statistics on the current state of the labour market. The Labour Market Analyst produces these statistics, makes sure the definitions keep track of changes within VDAB (register data) and society (population changes) and ensures optimal communication (effective communication of numerical messages). Additionally the Labour Market Analyst elaborates an in-depth understanding of the labour market to provide advice to VDAB, its partners and the Flemish population at large.
> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Social Sciences, Economics or Psychology. Required are a basic level of Dutch and statistics. A bonus is any experience in data analysis and data management.
VDAB offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience. 7 or 9 October are the preferred dates for Job Shadowing.
