IDEA Consult opens the position of Research Consultant for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

A Research Consultant at IDEA Consult is concerned with evidence-based policy and strategic advice in the domains of innovation & technology deployment; competitiveness & sustainability, and science & research policy. It offers expertise in the following areas: regional and urban development, real estate and spatial development, the labor market, lifelong learning and education, innovation and competitiveness, culture, creative industries and tourism, the circular economy and renewable energy.

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences. Candidates should be native speakers of Dutch or French, with a firm
knowledge of English.

IDEA Consult offers a 1-day Job Shadowing experience. The date for Job Shadowing will be decided upon in close consultation with the selected candidate. Job Shadowing could take place at the client's or in the IDEA HQ in Brussels.
