Boerenbond opens the position of Horticultural Consultant and Team Coach for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

A Horticultural Consultant and Team Coach mainly focuses on supporting the organizational structures of growers (open-field vegetable farmers). A Horticultural Consultant helps them put together training programs. In addition, the Consultant is also involved in union work with working groups that help shape the positions of the Boerenbond. The Coach supports the team in successfully completing the predefined action plan by the end of the year.
   

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Bioscience Engineering, Biology. Preference is given to candidates with a firm knowledge of Dutch.

Boerenbond offers a 2-day Job Shadowing experience. The dates suggested for Job Shadowing are 9 and 10 October.
