Landelijke Gilden opens the position of Community Group Facilitator for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

A Community Group Facilitator supports the local guilds, the district boards and the provincial board of Limburg. The guilds contact the Community Group Facilitator with questions, which the latter tries to assist them with. The Community Group facilitatir also proactively reaches out to help elevate the guilds to a higher level. As the system thrives on volunteers, the job occasionally involves evening or weekend work.
   

> Open to PhD candidates / postdocs with a background in Social, Socio-Cultural or Educational Studies. Preference is given to candidates with a firm knowledge of Dutch. A driver’s license may be useful, but is not essential.

Landelijke Gilde, offers a 2-day Job Shadowing experience. The dates suggested for Job Shadowing are 14 and 15 October. Job Shadowing may take place in Leuven or at Jaarbeurslaan 29/21, 3600 Genk - or in both locations.
