The City of Brussels opens the position of Alderwoman for the purpose of Job Shadowing, offering PhD candidates (≥ 3rd year of the PhD trajectory) / postdocs affiliated with 1 of the 5 Flemish universities the possibility to see for themselves what tasks and responsibilities come with this particular job function. 

Job Shadowing an Alderwoman at the City of Brussels, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how we shape, implement and monitor projects across key domains such as Poverty & Social Justice, Health, Climate, Europe & beyond, Culture & Heritage, Education & Talent, and Democracy. You’ll gain insights into how we translate societal needs into concrete projects and manage them from start to finish in close collaboration with internal teams and external partners through tasks such as trend analysis, project design, budget monitoring and team coordination. This shadowing experience is perfect for anyone interested in creating societal impact through structured, strategic initiatives.
